The Review Panel met on December 3, 2020, to conduct a retrospective review and assessment of the USDA ARS National Program 101 Food Animal Production program for research conducted in the period from FY 2015 to FY 2020.  National Program Leader, Dr. Jeffrey Vallet, provided detailed information about the program, the three components of the program, the problem statements under each component, and highlights of the outputs as evidence of overall program productivity.  The panel was asked to assess the scientific value of the accomplishments, identify unmet potential, and assess the value of a USDA national research program in animal production.
