Objective:
The objective of this project is to expand the USDA Global Branded Food Products Database (USDA Global BFPD) to include Canadian food products. This project will be conducted with four suppliers already sharing US food composition data, representing approximately 1750 unique Canadian consumer food products. Upon completion of the project, Health Canada will have access to up-to-date label data in the USDA Global BFPD.
Approach:
Health Canada will pilot participants’ outreach to select 4 participants and participate in pilot onboarding through the GS1 Canada and GS1 USA.
