Interpretive Summary: Leaf beetles are among the most important insects for US agriculture. Many are serious pests, feeding on crops and destroying valuable plants; others are important biological control agents that can be used to control unwanted weeds. This work diagnoses all 11 world genera of warty leaf beetles, providing characters, illustrations, and a key for their identification. This study will be useful to biological control workers, taxonomists, ecologists, and anyone interested in phytophagous beetles.

Technical Abstract: World genera of Chlamisini are reviewed, diagnosed, and illustrated. A key for their dentification is provided. A replacement name, Kakita Chamorro-Lacayo and Konstantinov is presented for Ceratochlamys Bokermann which is a junior homonym of Ceratochlamys Habe, 1946 (Mollusca). Chlamisus rousei Medvedev, 1993 is synonymized with Chlamisus straminea Suffrian, 1866.
