Deux nouveaux Paratrachea des Antilles (Lepidoptera, Noctuidae, Noctuinae)

Interpretive Summary: Moths in the subfamily Noctuinae are major agricultural pests of many herbaceous plants such as clover and alfalfa as well as woody plants including blueberries and fruit trees. In this paper we describe 2 new species in the genus Paratrachea from the Antilles. The information will be useful to scientists that are currently studying the moth fauna of the Caribbean as well as the Antilles.

Technical Abstract: Moths in the subfamily Noctuinae are major agricultural pests of many herbaceous plants such as clover and alfalfa as well as woody plants including blueberries and fruit trees. In this paper we describe 2 new species in the genus Paratrachea from the Antilles. The information will Paratrachea flinti n. sp. and P. spangleri n. sp. from the West Indies are described and illustrated. The late E. L. Todd prepared the description of P. flinti and P. spangleri but has never published them, so we have kept the names chosen by E. L. Todd for these two new species
