Objective:
The objectives of the USWBSI Networking and Facilitation Officer are to: 1) Maintain and enhance the management and accountability of resources; 2) Facilitate and enhance communication within the Initiative; 3) Administer the process of developing the USWBSI annual research plan and budget; and 4) Manage and implement all educational programming.
Approach:
The USWBSI Networking and Facilitation Office (NFO) serves as the operational hub between leadership, researchers, and the USDA-ARS. The NFO manages fiscal and program integration with the USDA-ARS, while overseeing the annual funding recommendation process. It also provides the FHB community with essential governance, educational programming, and communication support.
