Objective:
Enhance aquaculture research collaboration, coordination and communication by designing, hosting, maintaining, and monitoring a web-based online community platform for private and public sector individuals and groups with interests in the U.S. aquaculture industry.
Approach:
Develop partnerships with NOAA, the U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) Agricultural Research Service, and the National Institute of Food and Agriculture's Regional Aquaculture Center (RAC) institutions to create an actively monitored communications platform that facilitates discussions about the latest research and developments in aquaculture, and a space where experts from across the nation can connect with collaborators to work on specific deliverables that improve the efficiency and sustainability of production.
