Objective:
1. Expand the datasets used for modeling Fusarium Head Blight (FHB) with new observations.
2. Improve predictive performance of model ensembles.
3. Deployment of the disease forecasts in 33 states.
4. Develop new tools for delivering disease forecasts.
5. Develop climate-based risk assessment for FHB in the U.S.
Approach:
Approaches will include 1) Gather new observations from IM-CP collaborators, 2) Use machine learning and mechanistic approaches to develop new models, 3) Use weather to produce the daily risk maps, 4) Provide commentary features for participating states. 5) Conduct a user survey to assess impact and 5) Combine disease models with climate records.
