Objective:
Quantify integrated effects of fungicide programs on FHB severity and DON contamination in soft winter wheat. Compare efficacy of Prosaro Pro, Sphaerex, and Miravis Era with standard products, evaluate forecastbased versus calendar programs, estimate economic returns, and generate multi-year data to refine FHB risk
prediction models.
Approach:
Conduct replicated field trials in New York using inoculated and non-inoculated systems. Compare fungicide programs across resistant and susceptible cultivars. Measure FHB, DON, yield, and grain quality. Analyze data with mixed models and contribute results to coordinated multi-state datasets for model validation and
recommendations.
