Objective:
1) Evaluate effects of fungicide treatment and genetic resistance on FHB and DON, with emphasis on new combination fungicides (Cultivar X Fungicide Trial)
2) Compare the efficacy of newer products to that of relatively older products, as well as timing applications (Fungicide X Application Timing Trial)
Approach:
Trials conducted at two locations, in a RCBD, split-plot arrangement of cultivar and fungicide.
Cultivar X Fungicide Trial - four cultivars and 5 treatments will be compared to non-treated checks. Fungicide X Application Timing Trial – two cultivars will be used to evaluate application timings determined by risk.
