Objective:
This project seeks to follow the FHB Management Coordinated Project to evaluate integrated effects of fungicide treatment and genetic resistance, to compare product efficacy and fungicide program approaches, and guide economic evaluations of management programs while generating data to validate and advance FHB risk prediction.
Approach:
Inoculated, mist-irrigated field trials will evaluate winter wheat and malting barley to assess fungicide performance independently or with host resistance. Non-inoculated wheat will be used to compare calendar and forecast based approaches to guide economic evaluation of management programs while generating data to validate and advance FHB risk prediction.
