Lesquerella (Lesquerella fendleri). Lesquerella is native to the southwestern United States, and the oil it produces is similar in composition to castor oil, all of which is currently imported. Potential Lesquerella oil products include biodiesel, biolubricants, biodegradable plastics, coatings, and cosmetics.
