Technical Abstract: Median lethal concentrations of Beauveria bassiana against western flower thrips were estimated for thrips maintained on two different host plant species: kidney beans and garden impatiens. In a series of five-dose laboratory bioassays, it was determined that thrips that were both exposed to B. bassiana and subsequently maintained on kidney bean leaf disks were six times more susceptible to B. bassiana infection than thrips exposed and maintained on impatiens leaf disks.
