Objective:
The objectives of this research are: 1) use traditional and molecular breeding methods to improve FHB resistance in soft winter wheat and barley cultivars for the Mid-Atlantic region and 2) field screen adapted cultivars for FHB resistance.

Approach:
The researcher will conduct traditional and molecular breeding methods to improve FHB resistance in soft winter wheat and barley for the state of Virgnina.
