Objective:
To conduct seasonal searches for hydrilla and floating heart biological control agents, primarily in China and South Korea; 2) identify and genetically characterize collected agents; 3) initiate quarantine host-specificity testing on hydrilla agents, and 4) develop documents and data needed to allow entry of agents into the U.S.
Approach:
Conduct overseas exploration of insect biocontrol agents for hydrilla and floating hearts.
