Objective:
Overarching objective of the U.S. Wheat and Bar1ey Scab Initiative focuses on the development of plant gentics and mangement systems to reduce the incidence of scab. The objectives of this proposal are to provide rnycotoxin analyses on new varieties and processed food.
Approach:
The NDSU Wheat Quality Lab will provide vomitoxon (deoxynivalenol or DON) analyses on approximately 10,000 wheat samples/year for about 15 scientists from central USA.
