Objective:
The objectives of this research are: 1) use traditional and molecular breeding methods to improve FHB resistance in Illinoise soft winter wheat cultivars, 2) field screen adapted winter wheat for FHB resistance and 3) develop faster and more efficient phenotyping methods for FHB.

Approach:
The researcher will conduct traditional and molecular breeding methods to improve FHB resistance in soft winter wheat for the state of Illinois.
