Research Project: Development of High Yielding Soybean Cultivars and Germplasm with Higher Seed Protein Content and Improved Amino Acid Composition

Location: Soybean and Nitrogen Fixation Research

Project Number: 6070-21220-068-52-R
Project Type: Reimbursable Cooperative Agreement

Start Date: Apr 1, 2014
End Date: Dec 31, 2016

Develop soybean germplasm with high protein and characterise genes for high-protein.

High-yielding soybean lines from Ohio will be crossed to sources of high-protein contents from other states and breeding lines with high-protein will be selected to develop high-protein soybean germplasm and major genes for high-protein will be characterized.
