How to Add External Users to ARS SharePoint Team sites
Now that migration to the cloud is complete, you can add external or non-USDA collaborators to your sites. Here's how:
Step 1: Have your external user register for an eAuthentication Level 1 Account
This process can take up to 20 minutes to complete.
Step 2: External users must login to the main portal page: https://e.arsnet.usda.gov so that the SharePoint address book can pull their login info.
It can take 4-6 hours for this process to run.
Step 3: Once the service has run, site owners can add their external users to SharePoint sites using the First and Last name of the user or the email address associated with their eAuth Level 1 Account.
