Interpretive Summary:

Technical Abstract: The larvae of the Rice Water Weevil, L. oryzophilus (Kuschel), cause significant damage to the root systems of cultivated rice. Biological control measures for the RWW are currently under evaluation. Fungal pathogens were isolated from adult RWW and LD50 values were determined. Field trials were conducted to evaluate application methods and environment tpersistence.
