Objective:
The objectives of this research are: 1) used traditional and molecular breeding methods to improve FHB resistance in California malting barley cultivars and 2) field screen adapted malting barley lines exhibiting FHB resistance.

Approach:
The researcher will conduct traditional and molecular breeding methods to improve FHB resistance in winter malting barley for the state of California.
