CharNet is a nationwide network of USDA ARS scientists working across more than 40 research locations to strengthen America’s agricultural and environmental resilience. Our work focuses on advancing soil health and crop productivity, remediating or avoiding environmental contamination, and creating economic opportunities by transforming low-value forestry and farm waste into a high-value commodity that can be used in built environment, textiles, and a wide-range of natural products. By turning American resources into American solutions, CharNet directly supports farmers, foresters, and other industries.
