Interpretive Summary:

Technical Abstract: Second instar silverleaf whiteflies were sprayed with 1 x 10**7 conidia or blastospores. Samples were collected at different periods of time after spraying and freeze-dried. SEM was used to determine time to germ tube formation and fungal penetration through the cuticle. Blastospores germinate much faster than conidia.
