Interpretive Summary: Fungal entomopathogens offer potential alternative control methods in the fight against mosquitoes and other vectors of human pathogens. This talk will focus on the mosquito repertoire that limits the virulence of entomopathogenic fungi.

Technical Abstract: Fungal entomopathogens offer potential alternative control methods in the fight against mosquitoes and other vectors of human pathogens. This talk will focus on the mosquito defense repertoire that limits the virulence of entomopathogenic fungi. This is essential for potential applications of fungal entomopathogens since this repertoire might change with challenges with different fungal isolates.
