The objective of the proposed research is to design and evaluate production systems that result in increased yields and greater nutritional value in vegetable crops.

Cooperative replicated greenhouse and field trials will be established to determine the yield and quality impacts of multiple sustainable approaches to vegetable crop production for protected agricultural systems, including anaerobic soil disinfestation for open-field and hoop houses and manipulation of light composition and quality on fruiting vegetables and leafy, baby, and microgreens.
