Interpretive Summary: Two potyviruses (Spiranthes mosaic virus 3 and Bidens mottle virus) have been detected for the first time in phlox in Florida. This has implications for ornamental production in the U.S. Technical Abstract: This is the first report of Spiranthes mosaic virus in Florida and the first report of Bidens mottle virus in Phlox divaricata. This report provides an overview of this virus for growers, extension workers, crop consultants and research and regulatory scientists. |
