Technical Abstract: Samples of standard cultivars and new selections of hard red spring wheat grown in cooperative experiments in spring wheat regions of the US were milled by the Wheat Quality Laboratory. Wheat and corresponding flours were evaluated for physical and chemical properties, and flours were baked to determine bread characteristics. Quality tests were performed on 1278 samples of wheat that were received from 21 stations in 8 states. The purpose of this report is to make available to public and private wheat breeders quality data on the standard varieties and experimental lines of spring wheat from the 1995 crop year.
