Interpretive Summary: Squash vein yellowing virus (SqVYV) is the cause of viral watermelon vine decline. In this study, we report the first detection of SqVYV outside of the continental U.S.

Technical Abstract: In this study, we report the first detection of Squash vein yellowing virus (SqVYV)-induced watermelon vine decline outside of the continental U.S. This has implications for management of cucurbit virus diseases throughout the Caribbean.
