Interpretive Summary: This oral talk presented evidence for the association of viruses and decline of young wine grape plants.

Technical Abstract: Presentation offered information on a virus, discovered in Redglobe table grape, causing decline and death of Cabernet Sauvignon test plants propagated on five acutely sensitive rootstocks. A description of symptoms on scion foliage and wood marks on the rootstock portion of diseased plants was provided. And also that we have identified four more (different) virus sources capable of inducing rootstock wood marks and/or plant death.
