Objective:
USDA is interested in supporting the annual symposium presented by PhenRIG at the annual meeting of the ASN. This symposium presents the latest developments in research on phenolics (phenolic acids, flavonoids, and flavonoid polymers), attracts researchers, and encourages the exchange of scientific ideas.
Approach:
Each year on the weekend preceeding the start of ASN, PhenRIG presents a half-day symposium on a selected topic in the field of phenolics research. Appropriate to the topic, guest speakers are invited from around the world to present their latest research. The last quarter of the symposium is dedicated to student presentations and a reception and poster session is held in the hours following the oral presentation.
