Biography and Research

Jason Adkins has been a Physical Science Technician at NCAUR, USDA-ARS, Peoria, IL since 2002. Jason received his B.S. in Chemistry from Bradley University. Jason works with Dr. Sanghoon Kim and a team of scientists conducting research on the commercial production of new products based on nano- or micro-particles for the controlled-release of target chemicals, such as essential oils and spinosads (i.e. insecticides). Jason uses thermal analysis, sorption analysis, HPLC, and spectroscopy in his research.
