Acoustic Research

Acoustic waves are reflected, absorbed, and scattered at rough, porous media such as soil and plant canopy. Level differences (reflection), depth probe (absorption), and scattering measurements are underway to characterize physical properties (porosity, permeability) of soil, sediment, and crop canopy. Seismic- acoustic techniques are conducted to determine soil and sediment stability.
