Matthew T Moore

Matt is a Research Ecologist with the Water Quality and Ecology Research Unit located in Oxford, Mississippi.  His research focuses on using aquatic vegetation to mitigate pesticides and nutrients in agricultural runoff.

Raised on a rice farm in northeast Arkansas, Matt learned the importance of conservation and environmental stewardship early on.  He spent his summers on the farm either on a tractor or scouting rice fields for disease.

Matt works with a diverse group of scientists examining the chemical, microbiological, and physical processes involved in contaminant transfer and transformation within the soil and water environment.
