Interpretive Summary:

Technical Abstract: Whitefly-transmitted virus diseases of cucurbit crops are increasing throughout the southern United States. This webinar discussed differences in symptoms caused by whitefly-transmitted viruses on cucurbit crops, the importance of early virus identification, insect control, and management of weed and alternate crop host plants; and the potential for use of resistant varieties. The approximate half-hour webinar was is a part of a series of presentations by APS Press entitled, “Focus on Cucurbits.”
