Interpretive Summary:

Technical Abstract: Soil nitrogen (N) mineralization is an important characteristic that defines soil productivity. We sampled soil under long-term land uses in a randomized and replicated experiment near Goldsboro NC. Net N mineralization was evaluated from both field-moist and dried and rewetted soil conditions. Our results will be used to understand how long-term land management influences natural soil fertility.
