1. The timeline required for the negative influence of residue removal on soil organic matter level, soil quality parameters, and soil sustainability with no extra organic amendments. 2. The positive impact of beef manure addition on soil quality and sustainability regardless of residue removal compared with commercial fertilizer treatments in no-tillage continuous corn system.

Field plots were initiated (Spring 2011) in order to address the effect of residue removal and animal manure addition on soil quality under continues irrigated corn production. Three levels of remover were implemented (0%, 50% and 80% removal). Two nitrogen sources were used (beef manure and commercial fertilizer). The % removal and the N sources were organized in randomize complete block design with 4 replication. After 5 and 10 years, the experimental plots will Sampled and the crop land will be evaluated for soil quality parameters. Within the next 5 years (present 2016 to 2020) the research plots will be sampled two or three time for further soil quality evaluation. The USDA-ARS will quantify some of the physical and chemical properties of the soil samples and some chemical properties for the plant samples.
