Objective:
The objective of this research project is to determine the energy value of avocados, which will help identify food matrix factors that influence absorption of energy.
Approach:
This study will be a controlled-feeding, randomized crossover design trial. A paired-diet approach will be used to measure the absorption of macronutrients and the energy value of avocados when consumed as part of a diet in humans.
