Research Project: FRAME: Fungicide Resistance Assessment, Mitigation and Extension Network for Wine, Table and Raisin Grapes

Location: Crop Diseases, Pests and Genetics Research

Project Number: 2034-21220-007-20-R
Project Type: Reimbursable Cooperative Agreement

Start Date: Oct 1, 2018
End Date: Aug 31, 2022

Objective:
Determine how and when fungicide resistance develops and spreads within grape powdery mildew.

Approach:
Molecular markers will be developed for genes associated with fungicide resistance using next generation sequencing. The molecular markers will be used to evaluate changes in frequency of powdery mildew fungicide resistance genes over time in field sites.
