The Beltsville Location is considered a closed campus*. All visitors having business with the US Government must obtain a Visitor’s Pass before entry into any building, structure, or field under the Exclusive jurisdiction of the US Department of Agriculture.
The Beltsville Location contains the Northeast Area Director’s and Administrative Offices, Beltsville Agricultural Research Center, Beltsville Human Nutrition Research Center, US National Arboretum Floral and Nursery Plant Research Unit, and the Animal and Plant Health Inspection Service offices, laboratories, and field research areas.
Beltsville Location:
- Please report to the Visitor’s Desk to obtain a Visitor’s Pass before going to any destination in the Beltsville Location.
- The Visitor’s Desk is in the lobby of Building 003 at 10300 Baltimore Avenue, Beltsville, Maryland 20705. Building 003 is recognizable by the large flagpole adjacent to the building.
- Visitors must produce an original pictured Government identification document, such as State Identification, Driver’s License, or Passport for their positive identification.
- Contractors shall work with their Contracting Officer, Contracting Officer Representative, and/or host Management Unit on Passes/Identification Badges, as applicable.
*Improved and unimproved public roads within the Beltsville Location under the jurisdiction of Prince George’s County and the Maryland State Highway Administration are excluded.
The US National Arboretum is a closed campus except during public hours for national and international visitors. Further, all buildings are closed to the public except for designated spaces in the Administrative Building and Bonsai & Penjing Museum. The US National Arboretum falls under the Exclusive jurisdiction of the US Department of Agriculture.

- Visitors requiring access to offices, maintenance, or research spaces must first report to the Visitor/Information Desk for a Visitor’s Pass.
- The Visitor/Information Desk is in the lobby of the Administration Building at 3501 New York Avenue, NE, Washington, DC 20002.
