Little Topashaw Creek - Woody material became lighter as it dried

Samples of wood were collected from LWDS using an increment borer and used to determine wood density. Relatively fresh debris was about twice as dense as material that had dried for a year or more. This reduced the factor of safety for a submerged debris structure well below 1.0.
