Trees for LWDS construction were obtained from areas outlined in red. About 3.4 ha were cleared by grubbing about 1,100 trees using a trackhoe. About 5% of the materials needed for construction were obtained from LWD already in the channel. The area outlined in yellow was cleared by the landowner about 4 months prior to construction of the project.
