headline bar

A data collection form is provided here (Ash Data Collection Form) to ensure that collected sample data can be entered uniformly.  The data collection form should be completed for all seed collections.  Definitions for fields in the collection form are described here (Ash Data Collection Form Definitions).  Your shipments of seeds should include completed data collection forms for each population. Electronic version(s) should also be emailed to Jeff Carstens atJeffrey.Carstens@ars.usda.gov.

Please note that each collection in public GRIN acknowledges the collector.  We appreciate all help in perserving ash along with the detailed data that helps make the collection more valuable and would like to acknowledge all those involved in making collections.

Herbarium Voucher Specimens:  When shipping herbarium voucher specimens, please include a paper copy of the data collection form for each specimen along with a list of all the specimens being shipped. For each specimen, the corresponding label and data collection form should be paper clipped to its corresponding sheets of newsprint. An electronic version of the packing list should also be transmitted by email to Robert Webster (robert.d.webster@ars.usda.gov), Alan T. Whittemore (alan.whittemore@ars.usda.gov), and Jeff Carstens(Jeffrey.Carstens@ars.usda.gov).
