Technical Abstract: In each Rangeland Ecology and Management, I am responsible for choosing, promoting, and describing a best in issue manuscript called the Editors Choice. In this selection, I point out the importance of both livestock and wildlife in Africa and discuss a paper that tested and found these two important grazing ungulates are compatible and do not reduce the biodiversity of plants in these ecosystem so long as a few important measure are taken
