Pecan Grower. 23(1):28-33. Interpretive Summary: Pecan anthracnose is potentially a major profit limiting fungal pest of commercial pecan orchards in the southeastern U.S. The disease results in defoliation, poor kernel filling, and poor return flowering in the subsequent growing season, but control of the pathogen is typically overlooked by orchard managers. The guidelines described herein provide farmers with information needed to manage orchards to prevent disease damage. Adherence to these guidelines will reduce economic loss. Technical Abstract: n/a |
