Identification of outer membrane proteins in Ornithobacterium rhinotracheale [abstract]. Protein Society Symposium, July 19-22, 2008, San Diego, CA. Abstract No. 66, page 21. Interpretive Summary: Technical Abstract: Ornithobacterium rhinotracheale (ORT), an infectious avian respiratory pathogen, is associated with economic loss in the poultry industry. The molecular mechanisms of virulence are not well characterized. Using a combination of 2-D electrophoresis followed by tandem mass spec and iTRAQ analysis, outer membrane proteins have been identified that may prove promising for vaccine development as well as diagnostics. Included in this list are the H. influenzae homologs OMP P1 (Accession No. P10641), OMP P2 (Accession No. Q48217), and OMP P5 (Accession No. 38368). |
