The book is a comfortable field guide to the commonly found berry-type fruits of western North America. This book combines photographs for use as a field guide, ethnobotanical information concerning plant lore, and recipes for using native berries. The plant species are arranged by botantical families. A few technical details could be improved but the book presents it's information in a fashion useful for the botanically oriented and those who are not. |
