Objective:
Collaborate on improving food safety and sustainable poultry waste management challenges, conduct stakeholder engagement, and advance the adoption of ARS technology and tools.
Approach:
This Cooperative Agreement’s overarching goal is to conduct research on improving food safety and animal welfare, while addressing waste management challenges through stakeholder engagement, and advancing adoption of ARS technology and tools. The parties will conduct mutually beneficial research on developing 1) electron beam (‘eBeam) studies to develop vaccines for animal diseases and pathogens and 2) microbial standards for addressing food safety challenges to be transferred to industry partners and end users.
