Objective:
The objectives of this study are to introgress leaf rust, powdery mildew and greenbug resistance genes we discovered to adapted germplasm, and identify new leaf rust and strip rust resistance genes.

Approach:
The bulked segregant analysis approach will be used to map new leaf rust and stripe rust resistance genes, and marker-assisted backcrossing will be used to transfer biotic stress resistance genes into adapted germplasm.
