Objective:
The objective is to generate and analyze genomic sequence data of accessions in the USDA Soybean Germplasm Collection that are not assigned to species, particularly those belonging to species complexes such as Glycine tomentella.
Approach:
Genomic sequence data of perennial accessions of unknown species and genome classification will be sequenced and annotated. Similarities and differences among accessions compared to known species will be used to determine taxonomic classification and elucidate overall genome differences.
