Objective:
The objective is to conduct all 24-hour recalls to assess dietary intake of participants in the WHNRC Fiber Intervention Study.
Approach:
The Cooperator will provide support during pre-study preparations, during the active phase of the study, and during the analysis phase.
1) Pre-Study: Participate in discussions with the ARS PI, to facilitate decisions related to the collection of telephone-administered dietary recalls.
2) During the Active Phase, the Cooperator will collect three unannounced/unscheduled 24-hr dietary recalls (including dietary supplements) from 60 adult participants at three measurement periods (540 total dietary recalls). The Cooperator will complete QA on the recalls at several levels during data entry and processing and will proactively manage staffing.
3) During the Analysis Phase: the Cooperator will continue to participate in discussions with the ARS PI as needed and provide the output and data needed for analysis and timely completion of the project.
