Research Project: Protein-based Thermotolerance Markers for Sustainable Legume Protein Production

Location: Soybean and Nitrogen Fixation Research

Project Number: 6070-21220-070-002-S
Project Type: Non-Assistance Cooperative Agreement

Start Date: Feb 1, 2019
End Date: Jan 31, 2024

Objective:
The objective of this research is to identify phosphoproteomic markers that are linked to temperature stress tolerance in soybean.

Approach:
The phosphoproteome will be analyzed for soybean tissue subjected to temperature stress. Mass spectrometry and proprietary software, in addition to in-house analytical methods, will be used. These data will be used in machine learning-based analyses to link phophoprotein markers with agronomically advantageous outcomes.
